69 Evans St Project
Project Overview - Over three and a half years, we oversaw the complete renovation of this 1970s beachfront building, managing the construction team and ensuring all work met current safety standards and building codes.
What We Delivered - We transformed an outdated building into a modern, secure property that maximized the owners' investment. The project included:
Building Exterior & Modernization - The building's tired 1970s appearance was completely redesigned with a fresh, contemporary look. We upgraded the Evans Street frontage, garage areas, and entrance foyer with modern low-maintenance cladding, energy-efficient double glazing, new balustrades, and improved balcony surfaces.
Structural Repairs & Safety - The harsh coastal environment had caused significant concrete damage throughout the building, affecting apartments' kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas. We completely repaired and replaced damaged concrete, installed new waterproofing systems on the roof and all balconies, and upgraded weathered brickwork. All flammable materials were replaced with fire-resistant alternatives to meet current safety standards.
Infrastructure Upgrades - To future-proof the building, we upgraded the old stormwater system, installed modern three-phase underground electrical supply, and implemented advanced concrete protection systems to prevent future deterioration.
Compliance & Approvals - We managed all council approvals and building certifications, including resolving a fire safety order during construction and ensuring the building met all current National Construction Code requirements.
Results - The transformation has delivered exceptional returns for owners, with a recent apartment sale setting a new suburb record, proving the success of this comprehensive renovation project.
